This car was the successor to the 996 turbos and boasted a lot of new technology that made it faster, lighter, and more efficient. Through the use of its new variable turbine technology (VTG) Porsche eliminated turbo lag above 2,000 RPM. The car became much lighter than its predecessor, thanks to the use of aluminum doors it now weighs just 3,400 pounds. All of this meant the car can propel itself from 0-to 60 in just 3.2 seconds.
